Compared with the widely used second-generation lighting fluorescent lamps, LED is an environmental protection light source without mercury and stroboscopic.

 

As a new light source, LED lamp is being rapidly promoted and applied with its incomparable advantages. It has been effectively used in urban lighting and beautification, road lighting, courtyard lighting, indoor lighting and other fields. Led also has the advantages of high light quality, basically no radiation, reliability and durability, and extremely low maintenance cost. It is a typical green lighting source. The successful development of ultra-high brightness LED greatly reduces the use cost of solar lamps and lanterns, making them reach or close to the cost quotation of the initial installation of power frequency AC lighting system, and has the advantages of environmental protection, simple installation, safe operation, economy and energy saving. Due to the advantages of high light efficiency and low calorific value, LED has been more and more used in the field of lighting, and shows a trend to replace the traditional lighting source. Because LED lamps are powered by low-voltage DC, they can be easily combined with solar cells. In Western China, solar street lamps and solar garden lamps on non main roads are gradually becoming large-scale. With the vigorous development of solar lamps, "green lighting" will become a trend.

 

LED is a DC power supply lamp. Its working principle is: after the external voltage is applied to the LED, the stimulated electron transition light radiation will be generated inside it. The light wavelengths generated by different semiconductor basic materials are different, and the light of different wavelengths will be synthesized into white light. Because the light generated by ultra-high brightness LED is too directional and the comprehensive visual effect is poor, multiple LEDs are gathered together and arranged to form a certain regular LED light source. The super bright white LED light source should not only ensure a certain irradiation intensity, but also make it have high light efficiency. Generally, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the luminous flux and light efficiency to find the best working point.

 

The solar lamp is composed of multiple LED lamps in series. The brightness is adjustable by PWM, that is, by changing the current flowing through the LED, the brightness of the LED lamp can be adjusted. The current intensity can range from a few milliamps to 1a, and finally make the LED lamp reach the expected brightness. PWM (pulse width modulation) signal can be generated by microcontroller or other pulse signals. The PWM signal can change the current through the LED lamp from 0 to the rated current, which can change the LED lamp from dark to normal brightness. The smaller the PWM ancient air ratio (the longer the high-level time), the higher the brightness. Using PWM to control the brightness of LED is very convenient and flexible. It is the most commonly used dimming method. The frequency of PWM can range from tens of hertz to several megahertz. PWM dimming is realized by controlling MOSFET transistors.
