1. How long can your batteries be stored and still be used normally? (Will your batteries lose power) (Our goods take three months to ship, will it run out of power on the customer's side)

First of all, all batteries will have the phenomenon of self-consumption, the longer the battery is stored, the more capacity release, the lower the voltage will be.

Take our solar light batteries with minimum capacity of about 1500mAh as an example, the voltage is basically above 3.0V after half a year of storage, and most of the batteries will be maintained at about 3.7V.

The voltage of 3.2V 1200mAh, 3.2V 5000mAh, 3.2V 12,000mAh batteries will basically be higher than 3.0V after one year of storage, and generally the voltage will be around 3.2V.

The battery voltage of 5000mAh and above will be higher than 3.0W after two years of storage, and the general voltage will be around 3.2V, basically no battery voltage will fall below 3V.

 

2. How long is the life of your battery? (How many years can your batteries be guaranteed?)

What we (LUMUSSOLEM) can tell our customers is the number of cycles of lithium batteries, at room temperature, the number of cycles of lithium batteries is mainly related to the cathode material, cathode material, electrolyte, diaphragm and process. Generally speaking, lithium iron phosphate as the cathode material lithium battery life is the longest, followed by ternary, then lithium cobaltate, the worst is lithium manganate (lithium manganate after modification can also reach 1000 times cycle life)

From our company's solar lights, 3.2V lithium iron phosphate material battery we can reach 3000 cycles. In other words, the solar lights from our company can theoretically reach 5 to 10 years.

 

3. How long can you put a certain capacity battery in a certain wattage lamp with a certain capacity? (Example: How long can a 9W lamp be powered by your 2000mAh battery?

First confirm with the customer, whether the parameters of constant current, if it is constant current current is how big, or the actual wattage of the lamp in the case of battery drive is how big?

If it is constant current, the current is 2000mA, the discharge time = capacity (2000mAh) ➗ current (2000mA) = 1h (hour)

If the customer tells you the actual he does not know the discharge current only know the actual light wattage is 7.4 watts, the discharge time = voltage ✖️ capacity ➗ actual wattage of the light = 3.7V ✖️2Ah ➗ 7.4W = 1h (hour)

If not constant current, the discharge time needs to be based on the actual test of the customer, which is generally longer than constant current by more than 1.5 times.

 

4. Will your battery explode?

And lithium batteries generally have explosion-proof valve, high-capacity lithium batteries will add PTC (thermistor) and tension piece, so even if there is an explosion can be minimized the power of the explosion. Note: PTC thermistor is a round screw gasket-like metal compound under the positive cap of the lithium battery, it will increase resistance as the battery temperature rises, so once the battery heats up, the resistance of the thermistor will quickly amplify, thus preventing the battery from continuing to overheat - causing the diaphragm to melt and prevent further chemical reactions, the effect of the tension valve is mainly reflected in the battery The effect of the tension valve is mainly reflected in the battery after a slight short circuit occurs inside the cell because of the increase in internal pressure due to increased gas production, the tension valve opens to form a break, preventing further break reaction.

 

5. What is the capacity of your battery? Is it full capacity?

6. Are your batteries A products?

7. Can your battery withstand high temperature and how much can it work in the environment?

All lithium batteries in a high temperature environment, the internal electrochemical reaction will become more active and uncontrollable, the most suitable for the use of lithium batteries at an ambient temperature of about 35 degrees Celsius, including lithium manganate, ternary, lithium cobaltate material battery long-term use temperature should not exceed 60 degrees, a short time can be up to 80 degrees. Lithium iron phosphate do not exceed 100 degrees for a short time, a long time can be used within the temperature of 70 degrees, but the use of high temperature environment will certainly reduce the service life of the battery.

 

8. How low can your battery be used in the temperature environment?

Lithium batteries will become sluggish in low temperature environments, the lower the temperature the lower the capacity will be released. In general, minus 10 degrees, the battery capacity can only release about 80% of the capacity at normal temperature, of which lithium iron phosphate is only about 70%, minus 20 degrees capacity can only release about 60% of the capacity at normal temperature, of which lithium iron phosphate will only be about 50%. Lower temperature of our company has not been tested, if there is a need for data we can provide.

 

9. Will your batteries have the problem of one batch being good and one batch being bad?

In order to ensure the batch consistency and stability of our batteries, our battery material suppliers are generally not changed, and each batch of our incoming materials will be done in strict accordance with the process of first small trial and then put into production, plus each batch of batteries will be put in about ten days before we ship, and the capacity will be divided by 500 parts per million, so basically the batteries will be on a level, and there will not be a batch of good and a batch of bad problems.

 

10. How do you control the quality of the battery?

First of all, we use two methods to test the voltage drop at the same time, one is to rest in a high temperature box at about 70 degrees for more than 72 hours, according to our experience, the voltage drop of 72 hours can basically simulate the voltage drop of the battery after three months. The other is by storing the battery for ten days and then full inspection of the voltage resistance, the battery may have problems screened out in the shipment, or made into a battery pack after the group shipped.

Capacity we adhere to the 10,000 random sampling 500 sampling test method, when the pass rate is not higher than 97%, we will be divided into all the battery capacity to pick out the full capacity of the battery before shipment.

11. Do your batteries need to be matched if they are connected in parallel?

Basically, our batteries have good voltage consistency and capacity consistency from the factory and can meet the requirements of parallel connection.

 

12. How many V can your battery overcharge?

The upper limit voltage of lithium battery is generally 4.2V. When we conduct overcharge test, it is generally 4.5V. When the voltage is higher than 4.5V, the electrolyte will start to decompose and there is a risk of explosion.
